Open Source Engineer

Sellrbox is investing in open-source tools for the e-commerce and seller community. We believe the best way to earn trust and grow adoption is to give back by building tools that solve real problems for Amazon sellers, marketplace operators, and e-commerce developers.

We're looking for an engineer who lives and breathes open source, someone who understands community dynamics, writes code that others want to contribute to, and can maintain projects that developers love.

You'll own and evolve our open-source ecosystem, from seller analytics libraries to marketplace integration tools. This is a role where code quality, community building, and developer empathy all matter equally.

In this role, you will…

• Maintain and evolve our open-source projects by reviewing PRs, triaging issues, shipping releases, and keeping the codebase healthy

• Build new open-source tools that solve real problems for the e-commerce developer community: marketplace integrations, seller analytics, advertising utilities

• Engage with contributors and foster a welcoming, productive community around our projects

• Write high-quality code that serves as a reference for how things should be built. Your code is documentation.

• Collaborate with the product team to ensure our open-source projects complement and integrate with Sellrbox's proprietary AI tools

• Represent Sellrbox in the developer community through blog posts, conference talks, and community engagement

You'll be a great fit if you…

• You've maintained popular open-source projects. You know the joys and challenges of managing a project that others depend on.

• You write clean, readable code. Clear code, not clever code. You optimize for maintainability and contribution.

• You're a strong communicator. Issue responses, PR reviews, documentation, blog posts. Writing is a core part of this role.

• You care about developer experience. From API design to error messages, you sweat the details that make developers' lives better.

• You're comfortable with TypeScript and Python. Most of our open-source and AI work lives in these ecosystems.

• You're community-oriented. You enjoy helping others, mentoring contributors, and building something bigger than yourself.
