What is the actual difference between Astra and Helium 10?
+
Helium 10 is an all-in-one seller suite where ads are one module, Helium 10 Ads (formerly Adtomic), built on rules you define. Astra is a dedicated Amazon PPC engine that runs the whole workflow itself with a strategy mode per product. Suite versus engine, rules versus strategy.
Why do sellers switch from Helium 10 to Astra?
+
Most often it is the moment the ads outgrow the suite: the rules you wrote stop being enough, the 2% spend fee stings on a growing budget, and PPC starts needing a dedicated engine rather than a module. Plenty of sellers keep Helium 10 for research and move only the advertising, which the side-by-side trial turns into a free experiment.
Is Adtomic the same thing as Helium 10 Ads?
+
Yes. Helium 10's PPC tool, formerly branded Adtomic, appears on their current pricing page as Helium 10 Ads. It is available on Diamond plans with a 2% management fee on the PPC spend it manages.
How does the pricing compare?
+
Helium 10's first plan with the ads module is Diamond at $279 a month ($359 list), plus 2% of managed PPC spend; Enterprise starts at $1,499 billed annually (their pricing page, September 2026). Astra is a subscription plus a percentage of ad revenue: Explorer at $149 a month plus 1.75%, Professional from $299 plus 1.65% or 1.55%. Note the bases differ: their fee is on spend, ours is on revenue.
Do I have to drop Helium 10 to use Astra?
+
No, and many sellers should not. Helium 10's research, keyword and listing tools do things Astra does not do at all. The combination that works is keeping the suite for research and letting Astra run the advertising. The 30-day trial makes that experiment free.
Is Astra's fee based on ad spend?
+
No — the bases are opposites. Helium 10 Ads adds 2% of the PPC spend it manages; Astra charges a monthly subscription plus a small percentage of ad revenue. One grows with spending, the other only with selling, and Astra's numbers are all on the pricing page.
I already built rules in Helium 10 Ads. What happens if I switch?
+
You do not port rules, because Astra does not use them. Once Seller Central is connected and each product carries a goal, Astra studies the last 24 months of your campaigns and starts from what the account already proved. Run it on part of the catalog first, side by side, and compare the numbers after a month.
Is there a person I can actually talk to?
+
Yes, people are part of the product: an account rep and unlimited strategy calls from the free trial onward, with operators who have scaled brands of their own. Prefer the whole account run for you? The managed edition adds a dedicated specialist.
How fast will I see results?
+
Astra begins working the day you connect it, and real results build over weeks as the ad platform learns. The published benchmarks: 41% sales growth in SpitJack's first 30 days, and 19.4% versus 51.7% ACOS in a year-long side-by-side. The day-one difference is that nobody has to write or tune rules.
Can Astra handle a small catalog, or is it only for huge accounts?
+
Explorer exists for exactly this: $149 a month plus 1.75% of ad revenue, up to $10K in monthly ad revenue, with the same engine the large accounts run. The published case studies range from 42 SKUs to 22,000+ ASINs.
